As Mayor of View Royal I have identified the following 4 priorities that I want to address during my term.
The “20 sec elevator talk”:
traffic + taxes + development + governance
1. Get View Royal moving again.
Address congestion and regional traffic while making walking, cycling and transit better—not simply making driving worse.
2. Keep View Royal affordable.
Control municipal spending and property-tax growth while properly funding essential infrastructure.
3. Manage growth rather than letting growth manage us.
Meet housing needs while protecting neighbourhood character, infrastructure capacity and green space.
4. Put residents back at the centre of municipal decision-making.
Greater transparency, measurable priorities, fiscal accountability and meaningful consultation before major decisions.
Technically there is a fifth point –> Infrastructure <– but it is really included in points 1 and 3.
