Hello, View Royal.
This is a community of families, seniors, First Nations, local businesses, volunteers, and people who care deeply about where they live. We value safe neighbourhoods, reliable services, protected green spaces, and diverse plant and animal life. We need housing that is available and affordable, and a local government that listens, follows through, and spends our tax dollars wisely.
After relocating from Montreal to Langford in 2013, our family found our “forever home” in View Royal’s Harbour District in 2021. We’ve loved living here ever since.
As an engaged citizen, I’m putting my name forward to bring practical leadership, clear communication, and a collaborative approach to Council. I believe good decisions begin with listening to everyone who has a stake in our community and being transparent about the opportunities, challenges, and trade-offs before us.
I also bring skills developed over more than 30 years of project management and professional leadership. My approach to decision-making is grounded in reason, evidence, and data. I have managed large teams and complex projects, using structured project-management methods to keep people focused on objectives, manage costs and schedules, identify and mitigate risks, and turn plans into measurable results.
Effective leadership is also about people. Throughout my career, I have learned to communicate clearly, build and lead teams, mentor others, mediate disagreements, manage competing priorities, and find practical ways forward when difficult decisions have to be made. These are not skills acquired overnight. They were developed over decades of professional experience, continuous learning, and considerable effort. I believe they are directly relevant to the responsibilities of a Mayor.
My priorities are straightforward: support safe, complete, and livable neighbourhoods for current and future residents; manage growth responsibly and sustainably; strengthen infrastructure and community services; protect the natural places that make View Royal special; and ensure we receive good value for our tax dollars.
As Mayor, I will work to ensure residents have a real voice in decisions that affect their daily lives while keeping a close eye on costs and value for taxpayers.
I’m not running for office to make promises that sound good for a moment. I’m running to put experience and proven skills to work for View Royal and to do the steady, thoughtful work that earns trust, builds relationships, and delivers results over time.
